I had to get up early this morning and take my son to his nannies so he could go to his cousins high school graduation.  So, while I was out and since I dont' have to be at work til 2, I thought I'd take in some yard sales. 

Found a few good bargains.  a brand new mop-with a cotton mophead, a thing to hang in my bathroom that has bird houses painted on it, cute, goes well with the colors in the new shower curtain I just bought-.50, an old Betty Crocker "new" cookbook, with lots of clippings in it, I love to just browse thru those old cookbooks-$1, and a "Simple Abundance" book-$1.  I went yesterday and found a almost new set of bathroom scales, digital and a lamp.  I love yardsaling.  I really needed those scales but I was a bit disappointed when I stepped on them and realized my drs scales have been right all along.  My old scales are about 5 lbs lighter. 

Anyway, back home, I've eaten and now I need to give some attention to the house. 
Dh is washing his truck, hopefully he'll wash my car.  It's so dusty. 
Later, while I'm at work, they'll go to his moms for a cookout for the graduates. 

We have been having record breaking temps here in the mountains.  Suppose to be in the 90's again today.  I'm trying to increase my water intake.  

I'm in search of a new vacuum cleaner.  The motor in my old one is making a high pitched squealling noise, so I guess it's bout gone. 
I just don't know which kind to buy.  I'm thinking of just getting the Dirt Devil at Walmart.  We don't have alot of carpet, so I think it will do fine.

Not that it means the beginning of a weekend for me, as I have to work both Saturday and Sunday.  But I'm off on Monday.

Dh and son are planning a camping trip, leaving Sunday, staying til Tuesday.  Not sure if I'll join them on this one.  "Things" are going on that do not go well with camping.  I am go out on Monday and spend the day with them tho.  Also the camper bed is hard as a rock.  Well, all it is is a one inch piece of plywood with a 5 in. piece of foam over it.  Not good when you have back problems and fibromyalgia.  And I always have to get up in the middle of the night to go potty, which means I have to walk to the bathrooms (yes, this campground has bathrooms with awesome hot showers---and spiders), in the dark, and bears have been known to wander around, looking for food.  So, I usually lay there til I'm hurting so bad I cant' stand it. 

I found a really pretty plate at the thrift store yesterday.  Isn't this beautiful?!?  This is not a picture of mine but one like it I found on Vernonware.com.  It is made by the Vernon Kiln.  Perfect condition, no chips or anything.  It is about 12 in. in dia.  Just love it!!

I noticed this morning that my lonely poppy is blooming.  Maybe I can get a picture of it to post here. My oriental lilies are getting tall, no bloms yet, probably around June-July.
